Created by Inkylizard

The Boy in the Castle is an illustrated, all-ages fairy tale about love and depression, full of rich details and lyrical language.

Behind-the-Scenes Livestream Today
almost 8 years ago – Sun, Jun 05, 2016 at 06:25:44 PM

Today from 2-4 pm, EST, Jon Washer, Team BITC's Wizard of Photography and Design, will be streaming his editing process on some of the Boy in the Castle Pages on Twitch.
I'll be hanging around in the chat to answer questions about the project, while also eating sushi and painting last-minute larp props.
What does the P&D Wizard listen to while he's working? Will I get red paint on my keyboard while trying to multitask?

Of Gratitude and Stretch Goals
almost 8 years ago – Thu, Jun 02, 2016 at 10:45:11 AM

Fully funded (and then some) on the first day! I'm overwhelmed!

First of all: Thank you, thank you, thank you, to all my intrepid early backers. I can't begin to tell you what your support means to me, friends and strangers. You are collectively the best.

Next, let me assure you that we are just getting started.

By the end of the day tomorrow I'm going to be updating the campaign page with some stretch goals. The reason for the delay, to be perfectly candid, is that we didn't expect we'd be needing to post these quite so soon! Team BITC's Spreadsheet Wizard needs to work some math, just to make sure everything checks out, and then those new targets will be in front of your eyes.

Just to keep you piqued, though, here's my loftiest goal for this project:

If we can raise a few thousand dollars more, then I'll be able to work with Jon Washer, photographer and graphic designer, and Seth Bender, video editor, to make an animated version of The Boy in the Castle.

A few days ago, we figured the video was kind of a pipe dream, but today it's looking well within our grasp. If this is as exciting an idea to you as it is to me, please continue to share the project! And I'll be working on getting the stretch goal details out to you as soon as I possibly can.

Again; unending thanks to each and every single one of you.
